¿Dónde está La Carbonera?
La Carbonera es un lugar que se formó después del paso del Huracán Gilberto en 1988, haciendo de esta catástrofe natural, un hermoso lugar lleno naturaleza y opciones de actividades de ecoturismo. La Carbonera se encuentra entre los puertos de Chuburná y Sisal. Cuenta con una extensión de aproximadamente cinco kilómetros.
La Laguna la Carbonera se encuentra rodeada por manglares, extensiones de sabana yucateca y petenes que logran hacer de este lugar uno de los más diversos en la Península. Para llegar necesariamente hay que tomar un recorrido que se puede hacer en kayak o chalanas y tan solo a unos 5 o 6 metros de la redonda, ya que el fin de todo es admirar y no perturbar a las aves que habitan ahí.
Durante el recorrido podrás admirar diversa fauna, como garzas rojizas, pelícanos y pardos, así como los flamingos rosas. Para llegar al cenote tendrás que recorrer un manglar. Los tours van desde los $400 pesos por persona, aunque para los niños es gratis, y los estudiantes por $350 pesos.
Al terminar tu recorrido puedes pasarte a Sisal o Chuburná y visitar alguna de sus hermosas playas y disfrutar de un delicioso ceviche, pescado frito o algún otro platillo típico y por supuesto, relajarte en las playas deliciosas.

Where is La Carbonera?
La Carbonera is a place that was formed after the passage of Hurricane Gilberto in 1988, making this natural catastrophe a beautiful place full of nature and options for ecotourism activities. La Carbonera is located between the ports of Chuburná and Sisal. It has an extension of approximately five kilometers.
Laguna la Carbonera is surrounded by mangroves, extensions of Yucatecan savannah and petenes that manage to make this place one of the most diverse on the Peninsula. To get there, you necessarily have to take a route that can be done by kayak or barge and only about 5 or 6 meters away, since the end of it all is to admire and not disturb the birds that live there.
During the tour you will be able to admire diverse fauna, such as reddish herons, pelicans and browns, as well as pink flamingos. To get to the cenote you will have to go through a mangrove swamp.
